Duo is a very comfortable year-round yarn. The wool makes the yarn lighter and more elastic and insulates better than pure cotton. Cotton is not an itchy fiber. The blend of 55% merino wool and 45% pima cotton makes this a light and soft yarn that insulates well. A great alternative for people who find pure wool itchy.

For machine washing, it is recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Due to the unique absorbency of the merino wool, it is important to centrifuge hand-knitted garments well before drying them on a flat surface, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
